When the Math Isn’t Mathing: Remember What God Has Already Done
God’s track record is better than your logic.
When life stops making sense, it’s tempting to panic, control, or try to “figure it out.”
But Scripture shows us a different way—one built on trust, not logic.
Consider this:
God sent ravens to feed Elijah—an unclean bird became a source of provision.
A widow with almost nothing experienced overflow when God multiplied her oil and flour.
The Israelites faced the Red Sea with no escape route—until God made one.
Peter walked on water—something impossible—until he let fear override faith.
These stories have something in common:
God moved when the situation made no sense.
I’ve lived this reality too.
In a season of uncertainty and joblessness, I had to choose trust over understanding. I began reminding myself daily:
“Marci, don’t depend on your own logic. Stay close to the Lord. Listen.”
And God responded with provision I couldn’t have orchestrated—a vehicle, a job aligned with purpose, and peace in the waiting.
Maybe the reason your situation doesn’t make sense…
is because God is preparing to move in a way that only He can take credit for.
Inner Work Question:
Do you trust God’s character enough to follow Him—even when you don’t understand His plan?
