You’re Not the Wrong Package: Knowing Your Worth as a Christian Woman
You’re the Right Package Delivered to the Wrong Door 📦 | Know Your God-Given Worth
Have you ever poured your heart, time, love, and energy into a relationship, friendship, or situation only to feel overlooked, unappreciated, or emotionally exhausted?
As women and mothers, we’re often so accustomed to giving that we forget something important:
God never asked us to prove our worth by allowing others to diminish it.
Psalm 8:5 reminds us that God created us with dignity and crowned us with glory and honor.
Your value isn’t determined by someone’s ability—or willingness—to recognize it.
💗 Here’s your reminder today:
You can be a beautiful gift delivered to the wrong address.
You can be loving, generous, faithful, intelligent, nurturing, and full of purpose—and still find yourself somewhere your contributions aren’t appreciated.
That doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong with you.
Sometimes it simply means you’re knocking on the wrong door.
And here’s the beautiful part:
You don’t have to keep standing there waiting for someone to open it.
Healthy relationships are characterized by mutual respect, genuine care, encouragement, and reciprocity.
Not every relationship will energize you every day. Love sometimes requires sacrifice, patience, and difficult conversations. But consistently feeling diminished, disrespected, or emotionally depleted is worth paying attention to.
You are allowed to establish boundaries.
You are allowed to stop overextending yourself.
And you are allowed to walk away from relationships or environments that repeatedly dishonor your dignity.
Because knowing your worth isn’t arrogance.
It’s agreeing with what God has already said about you. 👑
🌱 INNER WORK: Your Moment of Reflection
Where in my life am I exhausting myself trying to earn the love, respect, or acceptance that I believe I should already be receiving—and what boundary might God be inviting me to establish?
Take a few quiet moments to reflect.
Ask yourself:
Am I staying because this relationship is healthy and growing, or because I’m afraid of what happens if I leave?
Remember, sometimes the most powerful expression of self-respect is recognizing when it’s time to stop knocking.
🙏 Today’s affirmation:
“I am crowned with glory and honor. My worth comes from God, not from people’s approval. I can love others without abandoning myself, and I have permission to walk away from places where I am consistently dishonored.”
